Shalom,
Do you know Eyn Hod? Of course you don't. Eyn Hod is a little village with 600 citizen. The special thing is, that it is an village of artists. Everybody, who lives their is either rich or lives from his art...or both. But I start from the beginning.
Some friends from Tel Aviv, who visited us, told us about this place and wanted to go their on a Saturdays. Those who've read my blog attentively know, that driving by bus on a Saturday is nearly impossible. The girls went their just by tramping. They said, that it worked in few minutes and that the Israelis are very nice, so Luca and I, we thought we are gone do the exactly same thing. The problem is, that we are not two good looking girls in short pants...So for a distance of 19 km we got taken by 3 different cars and it took as nearly 1 1/2 hours... We walked most of the part...But it was an experience too. The first thing we've done in Eyn Hod was searching a pub to eat something and we ate delicious tacos and fries. After we discovered, that this pub shows "Bundesliga" (German Football), we decided to stay a bit longer.
The city is really idyllic. You feel like in a little village in the middle of Italy. The whole time you heard a piano playing classic and everywhere was art. Very different and sometimes very weird, but the whole village was covered by little pieces of art. It was just beautiful to walk through for 2 hours. Sadly the gallery's aren't open on Saturdays, so I have to go their during the week with my parents.
After that Luca forced me to go an "alternative" way back to the bus station. Gladly it was late enough, so Shabbat was over and the busses had been driving again. I am happy, that Luca forced me, cause we walked through a lot of olive trees. Now here is the olive session, which is very important especially to the arabs I heard. After a new death experiences with some cows, which did not let us pass our way, we finally arrived at the bus station.
As a joke I pulled up my thumb and within a second a guy was so nice to take us back to Haifa...Well sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Lehitraot,
SK
