More sightseeing...

Shalom,

do not expect, that I will write a daily blog. But in the first days their is so much going on, that I have to write everyday.

We woke up a bit earlier the day before and made our breakfast. You can say, that we nearly are having a routine in the morning...feels great! We went to the bus and bought a month ticket for 50€. Kathy and Mirjam were wearing normal clothes for the German daily life, but not for shabbat in Israel, which wasn't descent for them. Every nearly orthodox jewish looked at us, like we had been from another world. It was a weird experience being the one who was starred at. Next week we will do it better. So we walked to the "German colony", because it was the only part of the city, that is open on shabbat. It was not so special. We expected a big plaza and a market, but the highlight was a long street with few restaurants and a beautiful view on the bahai gardens (from the bottom). After we had been walking around for an hour, we went to the beach for four hours. Now I have sunburn...great. No, but the sea was beautiful and clear. The beach was little but good enough. We played volleyball, made some sport and slept. After that we were very hungry, so we searched something to eat. Quickly, we found a little place, which looked like a hipster location. We ate very good bread and made some new connections. I think this little store is my first favorite place here in Haifa. (It is called Millhouse Haifa).

We went back to the apartment and started a big cleaning action. We cleaned every corner in the apartment, every bathroom, everything. Really everything....It took us 3 hours, but now we feel more comfortable in our rooms. We cooked, laughed and talked and now I am happy that I managed to write everything down.

Tomorrow we will have our first day in the hospital, but it will only be an information day. I am looking forward to my Hebrew course!!!

Best regards,

SK
